Cole Randall is a professional comedian, which makes him the only person on our team whose job description includes the phrase "slime-based game show." He graduated with honors from Emerson College in 2020 as part of the inaugural class of its BFA in Comedic Arts, where he wrote for the largest student-run awards show in the country and was selected to write a sketch for Norman Lear. He has spent every year since learning how people connect with an audience and why some people manage it in the first thirty seconds while others never do.

At GradMissions, Cole is the creative director for the company and for every client we work with. On the company side, that means LSAT_Tester_Cole, the channel where he documents his own path through the LSAT and law school applications with the kind of sketches that make a stressful, lonely process feel like a group project. On the client side, it means he is the one who takes your story after the essays are drafted and shapes it into the elevator pitch you'll walk into every interview with. Every med and law interview opens with some version of "tell me about yourself," and Cole treats that answer the way a comedian treats an opener: it has to sound like you, it has to land fast, and it has to make the person across the table want to hear more. He works with each client to find the sixty seconds that carry the whole story, then rehearses it with them until it stops sounding rehearsed.

Before joining us, Cole spent three years running his own freelance content business, where he helped companies figure out what they actually wanted to say and then say it, whether that meant writing copy for a katana company or producing a live game show on the Venice Beach boardwalk. He is a big believer that everyone has a hook; most people just haven't been asked the right question yet.

When he's not filming or coaching, Cole is doing stand-up around Los Angeles or rollerblading through whatever part of the city hasn't seen him yet.
